A Bit About Colleen...

Colleen was born in Kenora , Ontario and moved with her family to Port Arthur (Now Thunder Bay), Ontario in 1963.  She graduated from Hammarskjold High school and immediately thereafter began her career as a bookkeeper.  She was an extremely gifted and multi-talented individual.  No craft, be it woodworking, sewing, knitting or crocheting taxed her to any difficulty.  Colleen also enjoyed camping, playing euchre, church activities and spending time with her family and friends.

Prior to taking up the game of curling, she bowled 5 pin and also discovered golf whereupon she spent many years at Centennial Ladies' Club as a member and eventually serving on the Executive Board.  Colleen started her curling committee work with the Lakehead Ladies' Curling Club at the Thunder Bay Country Club and served on various committees for over eight years; one of them being a volunteer in the 1996 Scott Tournament of Hearts.  She also became a part of the developing and organizing of the POrt Artur Womens Evening Curling Club formed in 1990 and served on various committees until 2002.
